burning love

December 16, 2007

That new mix section has got me itching, and I was digging around last night.

Here’s a highlight that won’t be in the next mix but rocks anyway.

Disco Delivery Sound – Burning Love

**At the end I drop the speed right down to pull out the latent sleaze in the bassline. Adds extra funk. This one of those borderline records. On the border between Cheeseville and Funky-Town. If the DJ plays it too fast it’s a dead record. Slow it down and people will groove. In my opinion anyway…

(In case you thought it was your computer on meltdown).

Aw man! Nothing against slowing down and speeding up, but couldn’t you have done it with a program – or a DJ CD player – that keeps the pitch? THAT would have been epic…

As it stands, it does rather sound as if the DJ is leaning on the decks while enraptured by a byootiful ladee…
