Sometimes I get reminded that I buy too many records. Often times that comes from my wife…but occasionally it comes from hunting high and low for an out of print record – that you had sitting on your shelf all the time…

I heard this track in a mixtape from a friend that had no track listing. It was driving me mad. I’m a sucker for percussion generally, but sweet drum fills in particular. Twin that with bleepy noises (technical term) and propulsive basslines and I’m in a world of my own.

So there I am trying to ID this tune; asking everyone, requesting help on music forums, turning out every trick in the record digger’s lexicon – only to finally get the ID and realise I had it. Next challenge was to find it.

I don’t normally post new-ish records so as not to give away music for free when you can still buy it in your local record store. But I’m reliably informed this is now sold out – as it should be. Second hand copies here.

Hope you’re feeling it too…
