These were a heavy series of CDs that used to come into our second hand record shop from time to time. Early trance music for real.

But then, when I decided I better get in and buy some I noticed there were like 18 in the series and I couldn’t remember which ones I liked or where to start. So I was pleased when I heard earlier this year that Manteca were doing the hard work for me, and putting together a two CD set.

Now I know, it’s CD, but seriously, you don’t expect me to have the vinyl of this do you?! Check your local ‘CD’ store for the Manteca release. It features this:

Mulatu Astatqe – Yekermo Sew
