historia de amor

November 12, 2007

Love is in the air this week, so those recently split, or feeling lonely are advised to listen with caution! Two people who have supported Innersounds since its very first post are getting married next Saturday, and I felt a blog-tribute was in order!

JK and JB at Horse Latitudes gave me my first “column” and encouraged me to learn HTML enough to be able to post about music. It all started, when I came back from a record buying trip to Japan, with a small report. Then I made a mixtape for them, and soon enough I was writing for HL on the regular, and had my own log in.

Many, many patient emails then followed, with both of them schooling me on the ins-and-outs of bitrates, mp3, code, plug-ins and widgets.

Their support and encouragement for what I have been doing has always been unconditional, and for that I feel greatly indebted.

This week’s love journey also coincides with me getting a chance to dig out a box of Brasilian records over the weekend. So to kick things off, to John & Juliet, here’s Lennie Dale fronting the Sambalanco Trio with a rework of Cole Porter’s ‘Night and Day’. Drums are played by a very young Airto for those that like to know these things…
