in the air tonight
February 20, 2008

I was in two minds when I bought this record, on the one hand, it is Osunlade – and I dig Onsulade. On the other, it is Phil Collins’ ‘In The Air Tonight’ which I never need to hear again in my life.
Osunlade…
Phil Collins…
I couldn’t decide. In the end I got it, because you never say ‘no’ to a ‘maybe’ record – you’ll only regret it in 6 weeks. Plus I thought the dub might come in handy.
Well anyway, that’s my story and I’m sticking to it. I’ve edited the A and B sides together tell me what you think. Crime against music?

love it! the entrance of side b startles but blends well after initial surprise. definitely cross posting;)
dude i scoped this shit right when it came out because i was buying everything osunlade and it blew me away im soooo stoked that you are blogging about this because i felt like it was slept on. its such a sweet deep mix and you just cant go wrong with phil collins i had a friend that mixed the original instrumental version with the instrumental of pharrell/snoop “drop it like its hot” and it was probably one of the sickest off-the-cuff hip hop-like mixes ive heard. try it. anyhoo – u rock and i cant wait until u r back from japan!
Please can you re-post the two Osunlade Yoruba Soul mixes?
My hard drive died with this on it
Thank you
p.s. If you can’t for legal reasons. A link to my email address would be great!
