Big shout to Don Froth for putting me on to this track. Sounds huge and will be a dubstep anthem for many years to come.
Lucky to track down a 12″ of this recently. When I first heard it it reminded me of a Congo Natty tune from back in the day. I’m sure that high pitched melody line is sampled from the same source as Natty used.
Anyway, if you don’t know anything about dubstep and are wondering what it is all about…start here, if you don’t like this, you probably won’t like much else…I think that’s fair to say.

I remember a certain mix u hosted contained this track..;)
“Sound Guy Is My Target” is another Rusko track that`s kicking it..and the soon TBR, Bob Marley “is this love” (remix)

Is stunning IMHO!
I believe the Congo Natty tune was Kunta Kinte.
I don’t think that’s fair to say. Dubstep is much more than those stupid heavy basslines only deaf kids can dance to. I don’t like that track but I love dubstep!
Well, Norman, welcome to the world of music and personal opinions!
And welcome to innersounds…
the tune is indeed kunta kinte, the very first official congo natty release. haven’t tracked down the absolute “original” source yet, but i’ve heard the melody in dancehall-mixes from the 80ies.
i was waiting for a dubstep-remix from someone competent, since my own sucked hard : )
thanks for the post!
Thanks for the comments guys. Your info has helped to track down the original melody lick:

The Revolutionaries – early Sly and Robbie styles. Nice.
he took samples came from a Rebel MC jungle tune from the early 90s not from the original Sly and Robbie
