JAZ and As Restless As We Are posted the video of this song on their blogs and I was enchanted.

I searched high and low to track down a 12″and it seemed no-one had it, nor had heard of it. In the end I turned one up (via the internet) in the South of France, but I’m not saying how much I paid for it!!

I’m playing the 7″version here, just to give you all a taster. I guess the message of this story is ‘keep digging’, there are great records out there that people still don’t spin…

For the video, check here.

Around 56 seconds anyone else hear her saying ‘innersounds’ in a sexy French accent?!?! Crazy.

the bit that sounds like innersounds actually is “il me semble” (translation it seems to me)

I don’t think you should translate ‘sage comme un image’ into ‘wise like an image’. ‘Sage’ here means innocent, polite, impeccable. The perfect person, the perfect picture. She’s singing she doesn’t touch or flirt with anyone and no one touches her, everyone thinks she’s too young for that — everyone except herself, that is.
